A turn around. Seems to me that a "turn around" has been happening over the course of the past few years and I wouldn't say it's been the Good Guys winning.

Perhaps I'm just cynical. Could be. I'm kinda bent that way.

The thing that Wikipedia doesn't address is the impetus behind revolution. Why? What would prompt you or me to risk home, safety, health and well being to sacrifice for a "greater cause"? Can I be responsible for that risk being extrapolated out to family, friends, and strangers?

Which greater cause do you choose?

My views differ from yours and neither of us agrees with Mr. Smith around the corner. What exactly would we be fighting for? That is if we can agree on the mode/method/purpose for the fight to begin with.

A revolution requires several things. 1) Conviction. Do you believe, unequivocally, that this "sudden change", this "turn around" is vital to your survival and that of future generations? 2) Purpose. What is the end result of your clarion call for change and should it happens, do you have a plan to lead those who would follow down through the generations? 3) Strategy. How do you propose to go about this great change? Change merely for the purpose of change is petty boredom and immaturity. 4) Resources. People, $$, technology, etc, are the grease and fuel in the machine. Where is your stockpile? How and where?

I'm sure there are more factors that I'm not seeing. Maybe I should be more visionary and less accountant. It's all about heart, isn't it? Perhaps. Until you bury someone who followed your dream. Then the vision gets that much more difficult to bear.


It's very easy to "talk revolution". Yes we need a "turn around" in this country. No, I don't like the insidious infiltration of societies filth into the nooks and crannies of our national soul. But, when we speak of the need for "someone to do something", what exactly are we saying and why should your argument be more plausible than the next guy?

The only thing I can see for certain is this.

If and when there is a concerted effort to steer this country into a different direction there will be someone who pays the ultimate price. A big player or a mere pawn is irrelevant to my point. Someone will die. Might be in the 10's, might be in the 100's. Depending on the scale, maybe 1000's.

Is your vision worth dying for? Because unless you are willing to answer yes and you are willing to sacrifice everything for it, the rhetoric seems a bit hollow.
