First of all, I would like to state, publically, that I am intrigued by this idea of a revolution. I want to discuss that more.

But, alas, I simply must share with you my most recent excursion into the land of the living.

Place: Coldstone Creamery

My youngest child was given a gift card for Coldstone almost a year ago. I figured we should use it.

As I order the ice cream, one raspberry sorbet with sprinkles, one cotton candy with sprinkles and one coffee with toffee and caramel (the man of the house has a sweet tooth), I notice the DITZ behind the counter. Oh well, I wasn't coming here for the service, just the ice cream.

One girl asks, "How was your day?" I answer, "Long."

"Oh really, where do you work that your day was so hard?"

I raised an eyebrow and said, "I'm a stay at home mom who homeschools and is also self-employed."

"Oh."

Then nothing. Whatever.

It seemed to be taking an inordinate amount of time for my debit card to process and I finally asked, "Is everything ok?"

The sweet little be-bop behind the counter says, "Oh, I'm just tired! I would love to go home and go to bed right now. But don't worry about me, I'll be fine! Just got lots of homework!"

And with a cute little bouncy jiggle and the most sparkly of smiles, hands me my debit card receipt.

"Have a great evening!"

All I could say was, "Wow!"

I don't think I was ever that ridiculous.

I don't think I could be if I tried.
