A Good Friend

A good friend is someone who has your back in a fight. Even if you aren't there. Especially if you aren't there.

A good friend kicks you in the ass when you give in to self-pity and fear.

They call you when there is a need. Theirs or yours.

A good friend promotes you to others and even tells you they did so you can hear how they see you.

A good friend will keep trying to get ahold of you for breakfast, coffee, lunch, whatever! even if life doesn't slow down.

A good friend doesn't get offended when you can't seem to make two busy worlds collide. Even after 3 months of trying.

I've been recently reminded of how incredibly precious it is to have a friend like this.
