The puppy has landed. He's marvelous, sleepy and simply quite snuggable. He is currently firmly ensconced on my lap which makes it a booger to type. If only my arms were 4" longer!!
Now we just get to teach him that taking a shit in the kitchen is a bad idea. That's going to be harder than I thought.

Yesterday was a delightful day. Except for the freezing rain/snow and wind it was the perfect day for a 3 1/2 hour trail ride on a frisky little mare. She apparently thinks I'm insane for going riding on such a crappy day. But,well, a bad day in the saddle is better than a good day doing anything else. My legs were numb, my hands were frozen so I could barely take off the wet saddle. But I had a smile on my face.

By the way, after a year and some of riding and stuff, she's finally mine. For reals. And she's marvelous. Sigh. I'm living the 12 year old girls dream again. New puppy, new horse. And the great guy I have a crush on likes me too. :)

Tomorrow reality comes crashing in again. But the last two days have been a teeny little vacation.
